The Archbishop Murphy Wildcats took an early 2-0 lead when starting pitcher Tyler Kane helped himself in the first inning by hitting a 2-run home run. In the top of the third inning, the Red Wolves closed the gap to 1-run but the Wildcats were able to answer and scored three of their own in the bottom half of the inning to take a 5-1 lead into the fourth. After a scoreless fourth inning, Cedarcrest built a little momentum but was only able to push 1-run across the plate in the fifth. The Wildcat offense took over in the fifth inning, scoring 6, as Cedarcrest’s pitchers struggled to throw strikes, to take an 11-2 lead. The Red Wolves still had some fight left in them and were able to score 2 more runs in their half of the sixth inning. The Wildcats again answered the two runs they had given up with 3 of their own for the 14-4 win. (Image Gallery to Follow Soon)
