Though the Lakes Lancers came back fighting scoring 34 of their total 42 points in the second half of this game, the Shorecrest Scots showed why they’re number one in their district. The Scots turned up the heat on the Lancers in the second half as Shorecrest’s Shannon Schachle landed 9 points followed closely by Rachel Schrote with 8 additional points scored, making 16 points during the game for Schrote.
Stepping it up from 11.5% shooting in the first half, Lakes shot 48.6% in the second half to end the game at 32.8% overall. Again, an impressive comeback, except for the Scots jump from 28.6% shooting in the first half to 61.5% in the second, ending the game at 51%.

Rachel Schrote looking for an opening
The Shorecrest Scots take on the Cleveland Eagles, who beat out White River in the first round, at 8:30pm on Thursday, Mar. 11. This is the Eagles’ first time to state for girls basketball since 1978 so you can bet, this will be a good game!
