Shoreline, Wa., September 25, 2010 – Shorecrest Bri Lasconia (#10, white) scores  Scots first goal late in the game.  With 10 players after 15′ mark on, Shorecrest managed to pull off a victory over archrival Shorewood 2-0 with a goal at 77′ mark and in extra time.

Fifteen minutes into the game, Shorecrest junior midfielder Lulu Wissmar (#20) was shown a red card by center ref for unsportsmanlike conduct.  To the joy of Shorewood fans minutes afterward, Shorecrest head coach Mindy Dalziel was shown the exit for arguing Wissmar’s red card and verbal abuse.  The rest of the first half was dominated by Lady Thunderbirds ball control and shots on goal.  However despite Shorewood decisive momentum since the Scots two red cards, Shorewood was unable to take one-man advantage and the first half ended a scoreless tie.
Coming off the break, Shorecrest turned the table and became the dominant force.  Overcoming a one-man deficit and without a head coach, Lady Scots controlled the pitch and yielded several shots on goal.  After a Shorewood foul at 77th minute, Shorecrest junior Nicole Harris (#12) fired a free kick from the right and Shorecrest junior forward Bri Lasconia (#10) redirect the ball between Shorewood junior GK Karlie Leclair and near post for the Scots go-ahead goal.
Two minutes later, Shorewood frustration grew as evident by Thunderbirds sophomore defender Mackenzie Cornell-Maier (#18) body slammed Shorecrest Bri Lasconia (#10) into the ground, though only caution was issued.  On a following Shorewood foul 5 yards outside top left of Shorewood penalty area, Shorecrest junior Nicole Harris (#12) drove a free-kick over Shorewood defensive, under crossbar and beyond Shorewood GK Karlie Leclair’s reach for an insurance goal one minute into extra time.
While junior Karlie Leclair was in goal for Shorewood (4-1 league, 4-3 overall) the entire game, Ashley Beeson tended Shorecrest goal in the first half and Frida Swensen took care of the second for a Shorecrest clean sheet (5-1 league, 5-2 overall.)

Shoreline, Wa. – Shorewood took an early lead at 4′ in a rain drenched game when Shorewood Mackcenzie Hanley (#3) crossed from the right and senior midfielder Lisa Santroch (#2) finished the play after Kamiak senior GK Tana Foster (#1) was caught out of keeper’s box after her attempt to subdue the initial cross.  Shorewood Junior forward Kelsey Johnson (#20) suffered an injury severe enough to be driven away in an electric cart.  Shorewood and Kamiak traded attacks for the rest of first half without any further result.

Ten minutes into second half, Kamiak senior midfielder Rachel Rinke (#5) scored Lady Knights equalizer from the right as she won the foot race to the ball against Thunderbirds junior GK Karlie Leclair and the ball richocheted over Leclair.  Kamiak senior midfielder Cassidy Seckman (#6) was in far post making sure the ball does indeed roll into goal.
At the 55′ mark, Kamiak freshman defender Maddie Seckman (#14) gained enough separation from a Shorewood defender and fired a from long distance for the game winner.
Junior Karlie Leclair and senior Kelsey Jang were in goal for Shorewood (3-2 overall.)  Senior Tana Foster (#1) was in goal for first half for Kamiak (4-0-1while sophomore Emma Makela (#0) earned a clean sheet in second half.  Wilson Tsoi for nwsnews
Sept. 18, 2010, Shoreline, Wa. – Kamiak senior midfielder Lauren Luke (#18) attempts to redirect a corner kick into the goal while Shorewood sophomore defender Megan Stanton (#16) and GK Karlie Leclair look on.  Kamiak comes back to defeat Shorewood 2-1 in a rain soaked game.

April 16, 2010, Shoreline Stadium, Wa. – Kamiak senior captain Bryton Reim (#5, left) and senior forward Spencer Kienholz (#7, right) defend against Shorewood junior midfielder Sahil Khan (#11) in a game that was won by Shorewood 4-2.  Shorewood earned its first league victory while Kamiak suffered its second consecutive defeat.

Kamiak senior forward Josh Harris (#14) shoved out of bound by Shorewood junior midfielder Tanner Jones (#10) drawing a foul.  Harris scored Kamiak first goal while Jones ended up with a hat trick.

The Thunderbirds will advance to play Cascade on Wednesday(24th) at Jackson at 8pm. Game high points went to Semir Kadiric of Shorewood. Points for shorewood: Kadiric 18, Mitchell 15, smallwood 5, Brazell 4, Andrews 3, Berquist and Simpkins 2 each.
